Fame and $12K are waiting for the taking!

Our group of guys aren't the prettiest out there (except for Woody) but guaranteed each guy show up to the dressing room with a great attitude and and a positive outlook on the game ahead, Elkins usually gets to the rink 1-hour or more before the game to make sure the guys get the biggest dressing room. upon entering the dressing room you can find an ice cold cooler full of assorted beer (light beer for the guys on a diet) and Elkins spread out on the floor doing some pre-game stretching. Boys will talk NHL NFL CFL while sharing a pre-game beer, all before hitting the wet ice and getting in a mediocre warm up. That all changes when the Warthogs line up a center for the puck drop. Guys like Wurdrick, T-Boe and Kasela dont take any garbage from the other team and are the first guys to clear the net for tendy Kyle, with all the sandpaper on the back end the pretty boys up front, Woody, Blundon and Purcell sure add some WOW to the forward group, dirty toe drags, thread and needle passes, and flat out wheels make these guys a force to be reckoned with. Complemented by hard working players like Stewy, "Damn it" Steve and Timmy, guys who go in to the corners to dig out the dirt and set up the boys. you go all the way down the line up and one thing in common these guys all have is once the buzzer goes and we retire to the dressing room to drink the tears of the enemy in a outstanding victory, or licking their wounds from and tough loss, all you will hear are laughs, moans, grunts and the sound of beer cans opening. The team mantra has always been that you have to be a good guy off the ice, we dont care if you can score 5 goals a game if you are a douche in the room you wont be invited back. That proves to be a great culture to have as more and more guys are wanting to play with us as the word gets out. For Love of the Game - Warthogs

Why is this the best BLT in the world?

Why we deserve to win the Westy?

During the Fort Mcmurray Wildfire a couple guys lots their homes and along with that the majority of the team jerseys. most of the guys hockey gear stinks like smoke or just flat our rank from years of sweating heart and soul in to the game they love, your vote is greatly appreciated and we hope after reading this page you will have an idea about what it is like to be a Warthog

I had the privilege of playing with the Warthogs from 2011 to 2015 but had to retire from this team of extraordinary gentlemen when moving back to Home to Nova Scotia last summer. Not only was this the best Beer League team to play for but was my family away from home. I still keep in close contact with the boys through the teams what’s app group, and throw in a chirp here and there for a laugh. I miss the dressing room beers and battling as a team out on the ice. The team motto was “We may not be good, but we try hard” and we all did. I’m sure nothing has changed. I hope to share the ice with this group again someday. Cheers you have my vote.

The boys sound like a bunch of beauties. And since I’m a firefighter as well as a beer leaguer, you got my vote.

I’m rookie goalie Kyle, and this is by far the funnest beer league team I ever been a part of. The guys battle every game for each other. Win or lose there’s always a cold beer and a good laugh in the dressing room. You can’t ask for a better group of guys.
